What are the latest trends in Arizona landscaping?
Outdoor entertainment spaces are becoming increasingly popular in Arizona because of the amazing weather almost year-round. This can include spaces for lounging, outdoor cooking, watching tv, and even playing sports such as with multi-sport courts. Pools continue to be very popular in AZ and with those, clients frequently choose travertine paver decking and shade structures like ramadas or pergolas. Artificial turf is definitely a hot trend in Arizona as well, and it doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon.

What services do you offer?
We offer both design and design-build but no residential maintenance at this time. From custom outdoor kitchens, pergolas, fire pits, pavers, walkways and artificial turf, we design and build it all. Serving Phoenix, Chandler, Gilbert and Arizona’s East Valley
Can I see examples of your past work, and can you give me referrals?
Yes, you can view examples of past work on our website, in the Arizona Landscaping Gallery. We are happy to provide referrals of past clients upon request.
Do you offer ongoing yard maintenance or repair?
No, we do not offer ongoing yard maintenance at this time. We do offer limited repair services, but only for established clients or in conjunction with a larger scope of work.
Will you install a landscape design I already have from another company?
Yes, we do install projects based off of designs from other landscape designers/architects but we will need to verify plan accuracy and integrity before any work can commence.
Do I need a permit for landscaping?
Depends. While not all landscaping project require permits, some jurisdictions will require permits on certain structures incorporated into the landscape project.
Do you handle HOA approval, and what is the timeline?
While we do not handle the HOA process ourselves, we are happy to assist our clients with the information or designs requested by their HOA for the application process.
Do any warranties come with your work?
Yes! Most plant material, trees and cactus are covered for 6 months, irrigation is covered for 1 year, and hardscape structures are covered for 2 years. Artificial turf has a 1 year warranty on workmanship and up to 15 years (prorated) with our turf manufacturer. Contact us for specific questions.
How long have you been in business?
Oasis Green has been around since 2006, though we’ve been in the landscaping industry since 1990’s.
How do you handle changes?
Our landscape designs are carefully scaled, and our proposals are fully itemized, ensuring you know exactly what to expect before construction begins. We take a hands-on approach to every project, prioritizing clear communication and client satisfaction. If questions arise or adjustments are needed during construction, we’re happy to collaborate and make sure your vision comes to life seamlessly.

What if I have a small backyard?
Not a problem. Even with limited space such as with patio homes or duplexes, there’s still a lot you can do if you are strategic with your design.
When is the best time to begin a landscape project?
While landscaping services in many other parts of the country may be limited to certain months, in Arizona we can plant, built and install beautiful landscape projects year-round.
Will you help me choose plants, shrubs and trees?
Definitely! We offer recommendations based on our years of experience coupled with our clients’ preferences and goals for their space. We also offer meetings in person at a local nursery when we feel it would benefit the client to see the recommended plant selections in person.
Will I need to do a lot of maintenance in my backyard?
The maintenance requirements for every project can vary tremendously depending on the type of plant and tree materials selected, whether or not there is grass or turf, and the surrounding environment in which the property is located. When designing an outdoor space, we work with our clients to ensure that the anticipated level of maintenance is something they are comfortable with.
Will you prepare an area in my yard for gardening?
Yes, we can design and build a variety of permanent garden box designs and even prep the site with an automatic watering system so it is ready for you to start your garden.
What types of landscaping work best for Arizona's climate?
Beyond traditional desertscapes, there are also a ton of beautiful and hearty plant and tree options that grow really well in the desert climate. Arizona is also a very popular place to find outdoor kitchens and outdoor entertainment spaces because of our great weather year-round.
Do you install xeriscaping?
Yes, we can provide xeriscaping designs which are great options for homeowners desiring a more natural looking and water conscious approach to their landscape project.
Can I design my landscape to attract wildlife like birds and butterflies?
Different types of desert plants and flowers can be used to attract butterflies such as annuals or lantana. Hummingbirds are attracted to vibrant, tubular shaped flowers so desert honeysuckle, autumn sage and desert willow are great options in Arizona.
How do I prevent weeds in my Arizona landscape?
There are pre-emergent herbicides available which you can spray before the weeds grow to interrupt their growth cycle as well as landscape fabrics which can be used below the surface. Both are used to significantly reduce the amount of new weed growth, though neither of these methods are guaranteed to prevent 100% of all weeds.
Artificial Turf FAQs
Will you replace existing natural grass for artificial turf?
Yes, artificial turf is an increasingly popular choice for a lot of homeowners who have natural grass lawns which no longer grow well or require too much maintenance. We can use the existing grass borders and replace the natural grass with a new artificial turf.
Do I need to worry about my artificial grass burning?
Artificial turf has UV resistance and heat-resistant materials, so with proper precautions, it shouldn’t burn. Window screens may be required as reflective surfaces will result in burning. Direct contact with metal or other heat absorbing materials will also result in burning. We will point out any precautions needed for your outdoor space, and provide detailed care instructions for every installation.
How long will artificial turf last?
Good quality turf, when installed properly and maintained, can last well beyond the manufacturer’s 15 year warranty. The fibers are specifically made to withstand our harsh Arizona climate and are pet and child friendly as well. Artificial turf is a great option for those looking to reduce their maintenance costs, save water, avoid seasonal scalping and reseeding or just want to enjoy green grass year round.
Payment & Financing FAQs
Is there a deposit to begin work?
Yes, depending on the size of the project, we generally require a 25-50% deposit.
How is payment handled?
We can accept a variety of payment methods including: Cash, check, ACH payments, wire and payments initiated from your banking institution, Visa, MC, Amex, Discover, Zelle (daily limits may apply) and Venmo (daily limits may apply).
